The CZ52 is a eastern European gun. The Chech army used them until 82. They are now for sale for under 150 plus shipping and registration. It is FFL 03 elligible. A great shooting gun.
The best thing is that one can get a tin of 1224 or 800 rounds for under $100.
I have been shooting mine for several weeks. Put over 800 through the thing. It is great.
I'm from a city so I shoot at a range. Great gun, lots of fun.

I don't supposed that you can get a picture on here.. How long is the Barrel ? Needs to be 4" or more for legal hunting. My KBI is 3.7/8, One thing about the KBI, is that the trigger is pulled down, and the barrel assembly, can be pulled back, and unhooked. 20 seconds, and its apart.

I looked these up www.jgsales.com. and they have them back ordered for $ 139.95, + shipping to a dealer. Look awfully like a KBI, maybe the barrel is a tad longer.

The Barrel is 120 mm. I think that is just about 4 inches, perhaps a little less. I am trying to find out about it. The one thing that one must be careful about is not to dry fire the weapon. The firing pin breaks quite easily. I would suggest getting a back up ($9). And be sure to safely test the decocker. Check it by pointing down range. Mine works fine, but some don't. Keeterbird

IMHO.. this gun sounds like a glorified phoenix arms or a raven arms gun.. very cheap and wouldnt bet my life on it.. Psycho, It's nothing of the sort. CZ pistols enjoy a reputation as being well built, reliable and dependable. The CZ52 had a great run as police and military sidearms in Czech Republic. Much like the Mosin Nagant rifles, they are inexpensive due to the fact so many were made and that these are now surplus guns since they've been replaced by more modern CZ82. THESE ARE THE INCREDIBLY POPULAR CZECH CZ-82 PISTOLS . THIS IS THE HANDGUN THAT RELACED THE CZ-52 FOR THE CZECH MILITARY AND POLICE. THIS PARTICULAR BATCH HAS THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER POLYGONAL RIFLING AND THE REPORTS THAT WE ARE GETTING ARE ALL SAYING THAT THESE ARE EXTREMELY ACCURATE. THESE HAVE VERY MODERN FEATURES SUCH AS AN AMBIDEXTROUS SAFTY, DOUBLE STACKED MAG, AND PUSH BUTTON MAG RELEASE. AND WE HAVE A LETTER FROM BATF TECH BRANCH CONFIRMING THEIR C & R STATUS. THESE ARE 9X18 CALIBER AND EACH COMES COMPLETE WITH 2 - 12 ROUND MAGS, HOLSTER, CLEANING ROD AND LANYARD. LISTED AS NRA EXCELLENT CONDITION. I HAVE SEEN A LITTLE HOLSTER WEAR ON THE SHARP EDGES BUT OVERALL THESE ARE VERY NICE. I EXPECT THESE TO SELL VERY QUICKLY. GET YOURS TODAY...CZ-82.....219.95-From Classic Arms at www.classicarms.us/index.htmlDon

Psycho:
Hope that you take the time to get to know the CZ. They are great pistols. The CZ52 is one of the best guns that I have ever had. I have two they are made of all steel. I had to replace a spring, but have had nearly 1,000 out of each. Now they eat all ammo and never quit. I love them. Best thing to do is to go to an out door range about 7:00PM. When the fire spirts out and the report shakes the trees, many a head turns.
The bullet 95 grains is moving at about 1550. Not at all like a handgun. Penetration is great- will go through a small tree at 7 yds. Great gun.
However, you do need a come-along to pull the trigger at times. However, it is worth it.
May shoot low, so get used to it.

Unfortunately, I will never get to know that handgun.. Its just not my style.. I do however retract my earlier statments after seeing bigblues data. Could be a long time before I ever get to buy another handgun. When I do, it will possibly be a revolver for hunting purposes, or a Taurus 9mm semi auto.
