What do y'all think about getting together and putting in for quota hunts as a forum every year to get the opportunity to hunt different WMA's? Not necessarily just close ones. Several people have talked about hunting other WMA's and I think this would be a good way to do this. Just a thought.

it would be fun, but we would need to come up with a list of WMA's people would like to hunt. i for one dont want to spend $20 to hunt AEDC with 1500 other people!

Thought AEDC had a quota of 700, hunters.. Didn't see another hunter when I was there.. Didn't see any DEER either...

I'd be in fer a bait of that. Be honest wid y'all, i can only afford to go 250 miles from Drummonds. Thats almost a full tank in my Odd Duck, one way.

Hey y'all interest has fallen already? What type of weapons do y'all want to use? I use my CB or ML. I am very reserved about hunting on hunts where they allow rifles. Its not the rifle its some of the careless people using them.

On the guns hunts, decide whether M/L or rifle if not specified by the hunt.

SPH, what I was thinking about was all WMA's in the state. We can rule some out that we know aren't good (like AEDC). We can start with our top five like Muzzy said, but I would eventually like to hunt them all. I'm sure we can find a way to get you to as many as possible.

Hey i am with you about this and will try to go when we get it together. I can hunt with my ML during a gun hunt. I just refrain from getting where too many gun hunters as lots of them forget safety and direction of bullets. They see a tick toter and thats all thats in their mind is KILL! ;D

i personally want to avoid all rifle hunts if at all possible. the less people there are hunting the better.

Works for me. The others are more of a challenge anyways.

The quota hunt applications come out June 18. If people are still interested, we can talk about getting a party up and putting in for some hunts. I know there are several of us that are going to put in for the first Prentice Cooper hunt the week before archery season but after that who knows. Just something to think about for a month.

honestly, i dont even know where prentice cooper is. and im not a super huge fan of hunting that early in the season...but i do it anyways bc there is nothing else much better to do and its a great time to do some herd management by whacking some does out of the food plots! i know i'd like to put in for Laurel Hill just bc of the antler restrictions. Ft. Campbell wouldnt be bad either...im thinking about applying for the Ft. Knox hunt in KY too if anyone is interested.
