Doc, I'm going to do my best to get some pictures taken and E-mailed to you tomorrow. If I can figure out how. I'm learning new tech tricks all the time so hopefully I can do this. Don

Here is a pic of the rifle that Bigblue has been talking about in this thread. I think it has a great paint job and looks like you have it set up quite nice.

Well, I liked the Stevens 200 in 7mm-08 so much that I ordered another, in .243 Win. I've never loaded for the .243 before so that will be a new treat. I picked up dies, brass, and bullets today at Cabelas so I'm ready to go once the rifle arrives. I even picked up some more camo paint. I'm trying something new. Krylon makes some paint just for use on plastic, it's called Fusion. It should be great on the synthetic stock. Don

That paint is supposed to be the shhhh......(watch yo mouth). It is supposed to bond to the plastic some how. I think it does a little melting, if you ask me...

Doc, Seeing as this rifle is mostly for coyote, I did the camo job a bit different. It has a paw print camo job. Here's some photos of it. Don

That fusion paint works pretty good. I've even sprayed some on one of the "I can't beleive it's not butter" tubs and the stuff looks like it was meant to be there. Normally that type of plastic doesn't allow much for paint to stick to it.
Should be excellent for a syn stock.

I think the real test will be how well it holds up to bore cleaner. Don

I thought I'd add this article on the Stevens 200 here. Doc knew of my Stevens200 addiction and was nice enough to pass it to me. The article is on the Stevens 200 in 30-06. It was very timely for me as it just so happens the last one I bought was in 30-06 and I just today had gotten to paint and scope it. I'll pass along a pic once I get a chance. The article is reall well done. The writer has spent time with this gun, not just looked it over. One concern he raised which I'm sure I'll come up against, is the rubber butt plate. This rifle weighs a mere 6.5 lbs. and with any heavy 30-06 load, it's sure to have some hefty kick. His accuracy results pretty much mirror what I've seen from the other two Stevens I have. Gunhunter Magazine article: www.gunhuntermag.com/features/060710Savage.htm Jeff Quinn also did a very good article on the Stevens 200. Here's a link to that article: www.gunblast.com/Stevens-200.htmDon
