Well, I broke down and shot one of my ol' doe for the contest. She looked pretty old and only had a single yearling this year so, I took her for the big doe contest at BOA and for some deer meat.

Thanks. Yea, she filled up a 48 quart ice chest with the hindquarters and backstrap. The backstraps were over 3 foot long each. I'm gonna debone her later and take it down the road and have her made into smoked link sausage.

congrats on the slick head! come shoot some of mine for me please!!! Looks like I need to come shoot your buck for ya too. LOL! Actually, I don't shoot alot of slick heads. But since we are having the big doe contest, I gotta make the others work for theirs. I prefer to see the kids and ladies take these. ;D

I have been seeing alot of deer in that spot I took that doe. I usually see between 2 to 5 deer everyday there. This week I have seen 2 descent bucks that I let walk as well, an 8 and a 6. I got me a digital camera last night so, I will start sharing more pics now. This is a pic from the 15' ladder stand of a buttonbuck that is nibbling on some corn from this evening. I seen 2 yearlings this evening, a doe and buttonhead. There were more deer that came in from my right but, was probably the doe that these yearlings belong to as the yearlings went to them and then they all headed out. Check out my home made shooting rest that also camo's me:

Yea, I think I will enjoy it. It was just a little cheap one just to take with me hunting. For $30 the quality of the pics ain't that bad. It also can take video and be used as a webcam. It came with it's on software to extract and edit the pics and to run the webcam. It also came with it's on USB cord so, I think I came out alright.

Didn't hunt this morning. Put out corn in that spot around 10am. Got in stand at 4pm. At 4:09pm 3 deer came out. A button head, yearling doe and mama. The yearling doe is from the big doe I killed. But, we was missing a deer. Should have been 4. They left about 4:30 then came back out at 5pm. The 4th was with them then, the other twin button buck. I got a pic of when they were first out. Couldn't take pic of the 4, too dark and camera would only work with the flash on.
