I bought 50, once fired pieces of brass Monday. I full length sized 49 of them and #50 got stuck. Luckily, we order at work on Tuesday and it comes in on Wednesday. I ordered a stuck case remover and got the case out. Now I need to get a lube pad. I will still use the lube that I was spraying on, but it will be sprayed on the pad instead of the cases.

Doc, How cold was it where you were resizing them? I have had a lot of problems with stuck cases in the winter. I reload in a cold shed and the lubes just don't function as well when they are cold. It seems to me that most of the problem I've had concerned the inside of the bottlenecked cases sticking to the expander. Straight wall cartridges like the 45/70 haven't given me a problem and I have had no problems with carbide pistol dies. That's one reason why I'm working on loads for the .500 S&W now. Don

It was in the teens or mid 20's when I went to load. I load out in the shop and I have a small heater in there and it was possibly 40* or so when the case got stuck. I took and warmed the cases up in front of the heater before sizing them, but I quess they cooled off causing the problem.

I used mine with RCBS lube for .223 resizing on Friday. Temps were a bit higher, but still in the 30s. I had no sticking problems but unlike some other cartridges, those .223s don't require too much pressure to resize. Don
