My wally world doesn't carry any Win. factory 45/70 ammo. They don't carry any ammo fer it. Spect i will have to go Bass Pro or Sportsmans warehouse. Get factory Win.'s and save my brass to reload.  |

Yep...it'll save you a bunch on ammo if you reload for it. Cast your own bullets too will save you a bunch. My latest is a levergun in 45-60. If I didn't reload them I couldn't afford to shoot it. Here's a pic of the 45-60 on the left in comparison to the 45-70 on the right. The 45-60 I'm loading with 60 grs. of Goex Cartridge grade powder and a 300 gr. flatpoint bullet that I cast. The 45-70 is loaded with 70 grs. of Goex Cartridge Grade powder and the 535 gr. Postell bullet I cast.  |
