Is there a Small natural Lake of 10 Acres , or less. In TN. that is open to public Fishing. No boat launch, or Big Boats. You know, Like park along the road, and toss a Canoe, or Dinghy, named DONGY. ?

yes there is. It is in Davidson County in Long Huter State Park. You can park in the park and drag your boat to the lake. Battery powered motors are allowed, and there is some good bass and catfish fishing in there.

Directions are 24 west to I think Hobson Pike or the ampitheatre exit and head north for about 10 miles give or take... Hopefully someone else can elaborate on the directions a little better..

You can also fish Bedford Lake in Bedford County(Shelbyville). I dont think it is a natural lake, but it is around 40 acres. It has bream(shellcrackers), catfish and some monster bass in it. No motor boats allowed, trolling motors or paddles only. It cost $3 to fish and is well worth it.

I should be able to get driving Directions from YAHOO MAPS. The Small Lakes with Camping is I deal. Wife stays in the Motor Home, and I can Fish all Day. I have a carrier on the back, that My DINGHY sets vertical on. The Dinghy has a little wheel on the back bottom for easy movement to the Water. I also have an electric Motor, never used. The Dinghy is registered NY.

If you want to camp, check out TN state parks. I'd highly recomend Montgomery Bell State Park West of Nashville. Great campground, great fishing lake. Also - check out any of TWRA's family fishing lakes. Laurel Hill comes to mind. Motors are allowed on the lake but no watersports so you don't have the jetskis or skiiers to worry about. Campground there is very primitative - no hookups. You wife would be happier at Montgomery Bell.

Montgomery Bell. Yeah. My big boat " Grampajer " Would work there. I came from Montgomery Co. NY. Got my TENNESSEE CAMPING BOOK out, and montgomery Bell Park is the nuts.. They have a Resturant there, and 3 small lakes. That sounds the best I have ever checked on, about 100 miles from here...

The resturant is at the inn. I go to a lot of conferences there each year.... Food is great. Fri. nights they have crab leggs on the buffet.
I'm not a big golfer but I have played there. Great course.
Park is only about 15 min from my house. Drop me a line if you come up.
