I went juggin' down on nickajack lake twice this weekend with a some buddy'sof mine. On saturday we put out about 90 jugs and caught 19 catfish, one which weighed 38 lbs, in about 2 hrs. i have pics and will try to post them up when i have time.
Then on sunday we went from about 10:00-4:00 at night and threw out 140 jugs and caught approximately 35 fish. probably near 300 lbs of total fish. And let me tell you the big fish were out. we caught 6 that went over 20 lbs. one 22 lbs, two 28 lbs, one 32 lbs, one 34 lbs, and one 36 lbs. And there was on that we had at the side of the boat and in the net. one of the guys went to grab him by his gills and he spun around spit the hook out and flopped out of the net. ofcourse we couldn't even get half of him in the net he was just too huge. we think he might have been pushing 50 lbs. definately 45 lbs. i didn't have my camera this time but another guy had one so if i do get copies i'll definately put them up too.
oh by the way, just to let everybody know. $46 will buy you 71 krystal burgers. lol. that served as both dinner and breakfast.

what a day you had. sounded like fun. what did you use as bait? cut bait, bream, shad? krystal burgers are good today, but tomorrow sucks.....lol. they are best with cheese and extra mustard.

When jugging, try hot dogs soaked for a week in mustard and garlic, yum. A friend uses it on KY lake and catches big cats (20 to 40 lbs) and a slew of smaller ones. He catches so many he has two freezers full and give the excess away.

hmmm. might have to give it a shot. i've also heard that dial soap works really well, kinda like an attractant, if you give yer bait a squirt or two.

down texas way it's illegal to use soap for catfishin that old p and g laundry soap works best i'm told but if you do use soap gut them as you catch them or they will taste like soap when you eat them
