If I sank MILK CANS in the river, would CATFISH use them like a hollow under rocks, etc ?

Maybe if they can fit in the hole, ,but why use them and put rust and such in the water? There is plenty of that already. Try something a little more natural.

there is enough habitat in our lakes. People keep throwing crap in the lakes... Enough already... There must be 1000 christmas trees in preist lake near 7 points boat ramp..

Unfortunately, I have seen it too. Boat Gas Can. 55 gallon drum, Flattened Culverts, you name it.

You can never have enough cover in the lake. If you plan it right, you can have a brushpile that attracts fish and noone else knows.
