I don't know if the 30-06 is good for mice to moose, but I can say it's good for elk to groundhogs! Here two photos of the aftermath of a groundhog meeting a 180gr. Horn. SST bullet. The first photo is the entrance wound, not much to see. The second photo is the exit wound and speaks for itself. ;D Don

I reckon groundhogs are gonna start voting democrat and get those awful rifles out of the hands of murderers like you Don. How could you shoot a cute, fluffy little fella like that? Next time use a varmint bullet and really get destructive!

In 1968 I shot a groundhog with a 30 06, 220 grain bullet at 100 yards, all that was left was four paws, the head and a strip of skin holding them together, no hamburger.
