I read this report on another forum and believe that our supplies of 7.62x39 and others imported from Russia under the name Wolf, may be drying up real soon.
WASHINGTON, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The United States has slapped financial sanctions on Russia's state arms exporter for its dealings with Iran, a move was described by Russia as something "without international legal foundation," the Washington Post reported Saturday.
Under the U.S. law, any assets of the entities or individuals being sanctioned will be frozen, and no Americans are allowed to do business with them.
The U.S. sanctions were designed to thwart the sales of sensitive technology that could help Iran, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Syria develop weapons of mass destruction or missile systems, the Washington Post said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday denounced the U.S. sanctions on Russia's Rosodboronexport, and its subsidiaries, as illegal and unjust.
Rosodboronexport, is the company that sells ammo under the Wolf name.

And I do believe that it is true, and this would be the easiest way for someone to shut down the cheapest supply route for ammo for the lower priced section of the current milsurp market.
I did NOT say anything derogatory about this section, just that the ammo is going to be costing all of us quite a bit more now... and I'm not happy.

Well, here's to hoping that THIS is true: THIS DOES NOT EFFECT IMPORTS OF WOLF AMMO!!! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AND DISPELL ANY RUMORS.
www.istockanalyst.com/article...d_2737670.html
The sanctions bar all U.S. state organizations from providing any assistance to Rosoboronexport, buying any products from it, or using its services. In addition, Rosoboronexport will be unable to buy any military products or services in the U.S.
THESE SANCTIONS BAR ANY US STATE ORGANIZATIONS FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
THIS DOES NOT EFFECT IMPORTS OF WOLF AMMO!!!
MY EMAIL TO WOLF FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION
As a frequent buyer of Wolf products, I am very curious as to the recent developments with Rosodboronexport and the sanctions placed on it by the US govt. Will we still be able to get Wolf ammo?? Will Wolf ammo still be imported?? Thanks for any info you can provide.
RESPONSE FROM WOLF
Dear Tom,
This will not affect WOLF at all, everything remains the same for us.
WOLF Ammo
ONCE AGAIN, THIS ACTION DOES NOT EFFECT IMPORTS OF WOLF AMMO.This is from a poster on WarriorTalk forums. Like I said, I just hope that it is true.

I hope that you are right... But if our Government, or the perpetrator of this sanction, doesn't take time to realize the effect of expensive AMMO, the CROSSBOW Makers will be very happy...

Bubba, Thanks for posting that! While I sure hope that it's true I'm going to hedge my bet and buy up what I can anyway. There's still no telling what our next President will do to the cost or availability of ammo or components. If nothing else, this may be another in a long line of wakeup calls. Don
