Four things come to mind, but first let me ask if this happens with handloads, factory loads, or both? Has it always happened or is it something that just started happening? My first thought is the possibility that the magazine isn't seating properly or deep enough into the receiver and the bullets are hitting the edge of the feed ramp. Tikka rifles don't have a feed ramp built into the magazine, but rather built into the receiver. Second would be that the bullets could be seated to the wrong length for that rifle. Many handloads have to be loaded to a length that accommodates the length of the magazine. The third thing that comes to mind is the feed ramp itself. If for some reason or another the feed ramp has a spur or rough spot on it, that could cause your problem. Lastly it could be a problem with the magazine itself. The magazine follower may be pushing the rounds up at an angle that forces the bullets to face down more than they should. That would most likely be due to a spring problem in the magazine, Don
