I have been out 40+ times this year, during archery, ML and rifle and it has been disappointing to say the least. Shot at 2 with Xbow, 1 miss and one that died on my neighbours property. Finally got a rifle shot on Saturday and missed!! Deer was in very thick cover and I can only imagine that the one of the 3 thousand twigs and limbs got in the way. The depression lifted a little last night when I saw this lady running down a fence line. She stopped 60 yards from me, and received a 243 bullet through the boiler room. Deer get bigger the further you have to drag them, and the steeper the hill!! Going with the wife back this morning to see what else we can see. We are at one doe a piece now.

it's $80 to get them processed, can buy a lot of meat in Walmart for that much. She'll be under the knife today. Still frozen in my garage at the moment. Went again yesterday morning, wife was freezing by 9.15 so we went home early. Man it was cold yesterday.
