I have just traded into another pistol...an Auto Ordnance 1911A1 model. Nothing fancy, just very functional. I maight have to make a couple of changes to it: magwell and throat polish, but other than that, it should serve me well. Just as well as my Colt has for the past 15+ years. I don't have any camera abilities yet....so here's a link with better pics than I can take anyway.... www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=120220946Kinda liked his selling description for the pistol For sale is an Auto-Ordnance 1911A1 in the always ass-stopping .45 ACP,

Not selling my Colt 1991A1, just picked up a partner for it. I used to have 3 1991a1's and stupidly sold off 2 of them...nothing like trying to make up your mind and losing money at it the whole time.
I've went back to the opinion of having sameness in all my carry pistols...magazine compatability, caliber, functioning, etcetera....the only difference I will allow is changing between my 1911 platforms and my beloved 357 revolvers.

...nothing like trying to make up your mind and losing money at it the whole time. Your not alone in that, I do it all the time. Something always looks better or seems like a better idea. Guns come and go and my wallet gets thinner. I guess it's a curse of gun lovers everywhere. At least you get to experience many more guns that way! Don

I have done it several times myself. I have also come out on top on several deals too. The number of times I have lost money on guns, out weigh the ones I made money on though.

Yeah, when I was going to school and didn't have much money, I would sell what I had in order to buy what I wanted and always lost money in the process.

Bassadict, do you ever fish Normandy and Tim's Ford? I would love for someone to teach me how to fish those two lakes. Thru the generosity of my nephew, my brother and I fished with a guide on Tim's Ford and the lake got my interest and I just further instructions.

Percy Priest; PPSFC and Mike's Sunday tournament when I can. I'd like to fish Tim's Ford, not much left of Normandy, is there?

I have a Springfield 1911 Commander, shoots great for a short barrel gun. Uncle Sugar supplied all the rounds we could shoot when I went to MP School, my favorite gun.

Back in the early 90's I owned three of the 1991a1's. Sold two of them off to get something else, and now I've come back to doing what I did 15 years ago.
