They are making a new rifle that is custom. Price starts at about $650 and max's out at around $1200. All custom. You choose the barrel length, stock, trigger, caliber, etc.

Doc, I had read about them a while back and starting at $670 it is indeed a great price for a custom. Choices abound for anyone wishing to really customize the rifle to their tastes. If saying I owned a custom rifle made me happy, then this is the way to go, but I just can't see them being any better or more accurate than the Tikka Lite rifles. Just my opinion, but I believe Sako makes better barrels. Here's a link to E.R. Shaw's catalog, including the huge choice of calibers available. Also here's an article from Rifle Shooter magazine on these rifles. www.ershawbarrels.com/er_shaw_new_heritage.pdfwww.rifleshootermag.com/featured_rifles/RS_ershawmarkvii_200904/index.htmlDon

The reason I posted this is because of the price. Most of your "name brand" rifles are in the same price range as the ER Shaw and you dont get the options that you do with the Shaw's. I actually think you get a better deal with the Shaw rifle, which is a better deal, IMO.

Doc, For anyone considering the purchase of a S.S. Savage rifle, this really offers a fantastic opportunity. The number of caliber choices available is what caught my eye. Of course as you say, the price has to be a draw for many buyers as well. I wouldn't mind paying them a visit as they are in PA. Don
