Thought I would start a thread about the Prentice Cooper Hunt kinda like the one we had last year for the Big South Fork Hunt. Just to figure out who will be there and what we need to bring if anything.
So far I know Me - Mike Madoktor1 - Brian Doc - Sam
Since I have never been I do not know what amenities are in the park where we camp (bathrooms etc.) Nor do I know what we need to bring other than tents sleeping bags and gear. Should we bring food or is there stuff around to go get something to eat?

No amenities just outhouses. There is a store down the mountain one way, cash only and a good restaurant the other way with a killer hot ham and cheese. I think Jason (jalee) will be there too either late Fri. or Sat. Most of the time we try to plan a menu for supper and everybody bring something but last year we just ate out for supper and everybody took care of themselves for breakfast and lunch (usually in the stand) so I figured we would do the same this year. Just bring what you want. I am bringing the usual (LOL Doc) and my wife is making a big batch of muffins for me to bring for the group.
I always bring a case of water, bread, peanut butter, pop tarts, viennas, chips and snack cakes. Just gotta get the chips and snack cakes and I'm ready.

I should be there Sat evening since we are having a big shin-dig that day and I cant get off. I will be bringing a tent, sleeping bag and camo clothes. For a bath, I would look into some scent free baby wipes. I would also recommend a therma-cell as the no-seeums can be pretty bad. I would also bring some warmer clothes, as it tends to get a little cool up there in the evenings.

I borrowed a tent from a friend of mine and it is huge (5-6 man). I tried to set it up and was not successful. Should I buy a smaller tent or will there be enough people there Friday night to help me set it up?

Should be enough to help. Some of the other hunters may jump in if they see you having trouble. Seem to be a decent group of people up there.

I think we can get it set up with just 1-2 other people. The issue i was having was feeding the 16 foot sectioned rods through the sleeves. I will also be bringing a sleeping bag, camo clothes and hopefully a therma cell.

I have a big tent like that. I haven't decided yet if I'm bringing it or my small one.

Hey guys if you are going to this hunt let everyone on this thread know and let us know what you are bringing. I will be leaving Friday at 2:15ish and I might be the first one there and therefore it would be best if I claimed us a spot, but i have to know how big a spot we need and I don't want to grab a huge spot if we don't need so as others can camp too.
