Open. She doesn't like scopes yet which is fine with me. Using open sights means closer shots and she's not tempted to shoot beyond her ability.

Looks like we got another "Lever Lover"! She pick the rifle or Dad. Either way it's a great choice. Good luck to her on the youth hunt.

In my opinion, a .243 is too critical on shot placement for someone just beginning. The 30-30 is more forgiving and she handled Lloyd's .35 Rem. so well, it was a no-brainer. Also, she has a small build so it fits her well. |
