First deer hunting trip in 40 years and I got buck fever. Got in the blind at daybreak and settled in with a cup of coffee. About 7 am in the corner of my eye I saw movement, it was a trotting deer in front of the blind, 25 yards away, I was trying to scope him and he looked me square in the eyes, turned his head and trotted off before I could fire a shot. Man I was sick. Now the rest of the story, it was a huge 8 pointer. I have never killed a dear and that would have been a good start. Be there next Saturday looking for him.

Call me if you want some coaching while in the stand. I can be there as a back up if need be.

There is plenty to shoot at in that area, if you can get a shot.

If your luck is anything like mine, you will never see him again.
