Valleyhunter, "Lyndon" and I have been out twice more.. He had the Big Buck that he was after, in his scope, but felt the shot would be iffy. He let him go. That Same Buck got past me yesterday. We know where he goes now, but not where He comes from.. Lots of fun.. Perfect Hunting. LOL...

Several more hunts, Nothing.. Yesterday, a bit of luck.. I found his " LOVEING AREA ". 7 Scrapeings, one fresh, with wet, and Doe prints. I also found the tree where he stands when checking for Doe, and the trail that leads to it.. His bedding area is in deep grass in an un-cut hay field. All not POSTED, against Hunting..

Valleyhunter and I have decided to let the Buck walk now that Bow/muzzle is open. figure he deserved it. A very magnanimous gesture indeed. Of course the fact that you couldn't get that buck had to be a big help in making that decision. LOL! Don

Last attempt to get meat... Temp is 12 degrees, and dropping.. Two days left to hunt.. Good thing that I'm a fool... only an IDIOT would try to get lucky on a cold Mountain, just to put Venison in the freezer....

Monday Morning... I went out at 6 AM, Temp was 16 degrees. The Snow crunched with every step. My glasses fogged over from vapors emitted from my eyes, Had to take them off. I found places to STILL hunt in hope that something would come by.. About a mile East of my hunting area, I came into a patch of woods with a beehive of activity... the whole dang heard was in heavy brush, and the wind blowing in the wrong direction. I gave up, and came home. Season is over. No DEER... The BUCK LIVES for another year..
