Black-eyed peas, turnip greens, mac & cheese and fried cornbread....mmmmm mmmmm. Sure was good.
Black-eyed peas= good luck turnip greens= money
the other stuff was just to make a great meal better.

LOL.. Beef for Patsy, Venison for me, Grilled in a basket stuck in the wood furnace.. Salad, Shrimp, and Spiked Egg Nog. MMMMMM

Doc, You didn't go vegetarian on us did you? LOL! The turnip greens do sound good though. Do you cook that with some pork in it? The local tradition around here is that they have pork loin and sauerkraut with mashed potatoes for New Years dinner. I think it's a German(Pennsylvania Deutsch) thing. My Wife is from this area so that's what we have. Don

We put chunks if ham in both the black-eyed peas and turip greens. Only way to eat them.
I would have eaten ya'lls tradition too. Sounds good.
