I am pissed they are doing it too !!! I say it is part of our history and if they dont like it go to California!!! Dont come to the South and try to take our history away from us. Those men and women died for a cause they believed in and thought that it was good enough to die for. They are disrespecting the dead and I bet if we went and started digging up there historical figures, they would start raising such a ruckus that we would be tied up in court for years. Leave our history alone or just leave period! If you think the Confederate flag is racist, you need a history lesson!!!! LONG LIVE THE SOUTH!!!!

Up in my neck of the woods, the natives figured out how to do it right. When one of their great men had died, they didn't let anyone (white men) know exactly where he is buried. That way we can't mess around with him, and screw with his grave, history, and such. I'm talking about Sitting Bull, one of the Souix greatest chiefs.
Whenever we did try to mess around, they raised such a stink that we could not do anything more.
Sounds like time to do some of that down there boys!!!!

The fine group of people called the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Daughters of the Confederacy are helping alot with this. I am a member and that is what part of my membership goes to. They do a fine job.

This is a bunch of bull >:(things need to be left alone like what Doc said these are people that had something to stand for if they don't agree with what they stood for then that is there American right ,but don't come in and try to tell me that things need to be changed to suit a particular group of people.

Just more of the same political correct crap they've been pushing all along. If they get their way there won't be one Southern Civil War hero honored for doing their duty and defending their homes against the federal invasion. The whole country lost their rights when the federals took it upon themselves to overide the individual rights of the states. Now they don't want that fight remembered for what it was. The truth doesn't serve their purpose now any more than it did then. I don't live in the South, but if the fight were to start up today, I'd have to find a grey uniform because that's were my heart is. Don

Not to get to far off the topic, but you all should come over to stewart county to the battlefield. It is STILL an honered and honerable place, regardless of the outcome there. I do like LBL, but we all know what the TVA and CCC did to the valley and all of the residents. I am happy that the battlefield there is such a nice civil war memorial in dover.

These are the same people that are trying to get everything pertaining to the Bible removed from all public buildings also. I believe that in the Constitution that there is Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Religion. As far as I'm concerned, they are infringing on both of those rights and then some. The Constitution is written pretty plain and simple and not that hard to understand. There is no interpretation of it, no other way to read it, other than how it is written!!!

Just more PC crap. They are claiming the confederat stuff violates thier civil rights. I have the same civil rights they have, so it would violate mine to take it down or mess with our history and heritage. How would they like us messing with thier Martin Luther king museum, or blvd, or hotel, or whatever other shrine they build to him. you wanna see me get fighting mad, start messing with my ancestors who fought and died for what they believe in. These people just think we owe it to them becauseof slavery. I say bah! Get over it. It happened, and thier side won. Leave it be. I know, lets go to washington and tear down the Lincoln Memorial..... ;D OK. I better hush. Just gets my blood boiling. Charles

startin to sound like i aint the only one who's rearin for a rematch.
i've got just one little thing to say. if you dont like the way me, my friends, and...most importantly, my family do things or what we believe in around here then i figure you've got three options. 1. BRING IT!!! 2. leave town before i bring it. 3. or you can shove it up you a$$ and get the f*** over it.
Just my 2 cents worth.
