Hi BigBlue. I've found some excellent deals on gunbroker.com, I mean really good deals on new rifles and ammo. You can also try www.budsgunshop.com, fairly decent prices on some stuff. If I'm looking for a gun on gunbroker, I check every day and do a search, a lot less hassle than trolling through all the ads. The shipping charge is usually about $25 and FFL transfer, find a cheap place in advance. In TN we don't pay the 10% sales tax on internet stuff which offsets the other costs to some extent.

Speaking of which, sales tax in Tennessee is 10%? WOW! The sales tax here is 9.75%, but we dont pay a state income tax or anything else like it. Just a straight up sales tax......on everything. A $.99 drink costs $1.09 after tax.

We pay 6% sales tax, 1.5% state income tax, 1% local income tax, a per capita tax(whatever the heck that is), an occupation tax, besides the Federal income tax, school tax, county property tax and township property tax. WOW! People go on strike when they think their employer doesn't pay them enough, but they sure don't mind giving it up in taxes without a fight. Let me keep what my company pays me and I'd be doing pretty darn good. Don
