It's really nice to witness a company that listens to it's consumers wishes. That seems to be the case with Savage and their new Predator Hunter rifle. This new rifle comes in your choice of .204, .22-250 or .223 in a Model 10 action wearing factory installed Weaver style scope bases and a 22" heavy sporter contour barrel. The stock is checkered synthetic. It also has the Savage AccuTrigger which is easily user adjustable from 1.5-6lbs. The whole set up, barrel and all is then treated to a Mossy Oak camo job. There is no information yet available on the Savage website for their 2007 offerings. I'll post a picture as soon as Savage releases one on their website. Here's a piece I was able to find in regards to Savage barrels: "I once interviewed one of the country’s finest custom barrel makers for a feature. Curious, I asked him which factory rifle he thought offered the best barrel. Without hesitation, he said “Savage. They’re better than a lot of custom tubes”. I have to concur. Button rifled, held to tight tolerances, then polished smooth – there is a reason they have become the most accurate “out of the box” rifle.' That's really saying something! Don
