I just tried some 460gr.WFN-GC Cast Performance bullets today in my Marlin 1895 45/70. I loaded them over 38.0gr. of RL-7 using a heavy factory crimp for about 1550FPS. In the first photo are two loaded cartridges with one of the 460gr. bullets. In the second photo is a target with a two shot 50 yard group. I only loaded three to try and used the third bullet to adjust the point of impact. I put a Leupold 3X scope on the rifle to test these loads with. Needless to say I loaded quite a few more today after seeing how they performed. ;D I'm having trouble measuring that two shot group! LOL Don

Wow, Don. That is an impressive group there. I believe those deer in your area better look out.

Wow, Don. That is an impressive group there. I believe those deer in your area better look out. Especially if they are lined up ten deep! LOL I tried some more today and pretty much the same results. Todays group was still one hole, but had a little bit of ragged to it. The group measured center to center at .3"! Will I feel bad about using such a big bullet on deer? NAH!!! ;D Don
