I was so impressed by the looks of this Sako 85 Bavarian that I thought I'd post the photo. I have no idea of the price and have never even seen one for sale online or otherwise. Don

That wood looks a lot like stained hard Maple.. Don't see any Fancy Art Work. That rifle might be under $ 400.00 Maybe ? Huh...

My best guess would be between $1800 and $2200. Much too pretty to take hunting. I often thought that about the Browning Medalion and the Remington 700 BDL Deluxe. One scratch would make you sick. Don

Yeah, I'd say it would set you back a couple of grand. Out of my price range! I like my Ruger Mark II's. They have what I look for in a rifle, accurate, a walnut stock and a nice blued finish. If it gets scratched by barbed wire, I won't be nearly as torn up as I would be if it were a more expensive rifle. I think my next one will be a Savage American Classic in .243.

I've owned two or three over the years and if there is one thing that I always liked about Ruger MKII rifles is the solidity. They just feel like a rifle that will last forever. Nice lines make them good looking to boot. Have you tried one of their new Hawkeye rifles yet? I really like the slimmer feel. Don
