I'll be hunting 9 of the next 16 days. Ky this weekend, Tn next weekend, and Ky again startin wednesday and running through sunday. it'll be a great strecth and if i dont kill a good buck in that strecth then i guess im not a man.

you cant tell me you killed'em all. somebody has to help thin yalls buck herd down a bit since thats obviously what your game department is needing by allowing 3 bucks a year.

They are , but are the hunters... I can honestly say I am not following QDM criteria.. What I mean by that is, I am not harvesting my fair share of does... I am to greedy right now and want that buck... Ive always been after horns... Realtree videos have ruined me

QDM is a thing that everybody has to be sold out on. if there is one guy who doesn't practice QDM then it ruins the whole bunch. And i dont mean that everybody has to wait on a big buck either. I know the meat hunters in Ky threw the longest fit over not being able to shoot whatever they want. But they finally began to understand that they can shoot the does and maybe if they're lucky that real big buck will come their way. I see way too many guys on TN Deer saying "man good looking deer I shoot'em in a heart beat" , but if that same pic were posted on kentuckyhunting they would all say "man good looking deer, give'em two or three years and he'll be awesome". its amazing how the mindset totally changes as soon as you cross the state line. Good luck to all you TN hunters. May you all do you part in herd management and make it better for everybody.

Can't eat the horns. They look good hanging on the wall. Doe meat eats better. Nothing like a pound of vension jerky. Like to hook up on a place in unit L. Since papermill leases thier land now. It's hard to go 4 to 5 hour drive just to go on WMA. To many sound shooters go there. Used to make a trip west of Nashville and hunt, but from my understanding all the land is tied up with leases. Didn't mind paying for papermill permit, but joining a hunt club is to costly. But, that's the way of the future though. I'll keep walking the ridges of east TN for now. Bear and turkey are taking over in our area. Deer population not as good as west Tn. Need more food plots on WMA to help increase the deer herd.
