What do you use and what have you had good results from? I dont know about you guys, but I have had no luck at all with Tinks69... Ive used it and used it, but nothing has ever came into it. Ill tell ya what though... I have been using some knight and hale doe estrous that Wal Mart sells, its 4oz for like $5, for 2 years now, and have had bucks respond to it very well. If they catch wind of it, they are there. Last year I did a mock scrape and hung a dripper out.. I had a nice 3 beamed buck paw at it.
While Im at it, who does drags? I am going to use some this year, mainly because I have the land to do a good one on. I think they can work well if you have the right location to start one...

I have tried Tinks69, some I got last year to test, and the Knight and Hale you speak of psycho. I have had some come to the Tinks and some come to the K&H, the test urine didnt do to much for me until I was walking across a field and had a small buck come out. He started walking towards me and I gave him a snort/wheeze and that set him off. He went and made 2 scrapes and then came back at me with his ears laid back. I gave him another snort/wheeze and he started really posturing at me. I had to run him off at about 20-25yds. Pretty interesting thing to see.

like psycho i have had absolutely no luck with tinks69. i have had alot of early season and pre-rut success with trails-end 307. and i know its expensive but during the chase phase of the rut when those big mature bucks are on the move cruising for hot does nothing works better than code blue. i will swear by that stuff. its awesome. last year on kentucky's opening weekend of rifle i had 8 different bucks come from downwind to within 40 yards of my stand smelling the code blue the whole way in. maybe this year they will be shooters.

I usually make a mock scrape and place it where a buck will atleast pass by and where the wind will carry it in a favorable direction. I like to put it out 2 days before I hunt and during the opener of the first Muzzleloader season. If you put in 1oz, it will last atleast 5 days and I believe thats all you are suppose to put in them. Anytime after muzzleloader is a good time to hang one. I usually hang it 5-6ft off the ground. Make sure theree is a licking branch about 4 feet off the ground for the deer... Licking branches area must for scrape sets.

One time I had a deer come to the T69. I had the scent on a cotton ball and it was on a bush near a scrape where I was hunting. I watched a doe walk up to the cotton ball and pick it off the branch with her mouth, carry it for about 15 feet or so then spit it out.
What I use is real live doe. You can not get anything better than that! I keep food plots year round and hold the doe here on the property. They bare and raise their young here on the property. I don't shoot them and most are used to seeing me on the tractor or 4wheeler. If you have the doe, the bucks will come. (no pun intended.) ;D

I have about the same thing in NY. I posted 3 acres of dense thorn-apple, along a creek, and put out a Salt block. It's a safety area for the Deer. Problem is that Bucks use it too. Keeps the AMISH, and Illegals from annihilating the DEER.
