Spotted fawns are illegal here, even if it has one single spot. However, yearlings are legal to take. The good thing about fawns is, you will only see them here during bow season and then they would be close enought to tell the difference. However, I will not shoot yearlings anymore. I have taken a few along time ago. I did have a guy that hunts with me and this year he shot a yearling with a MZL. Now he is out of meat and is complaining because I will not let him shoot another doe. I allow one doe and one buck from my place and it is his own fault for shooting the very first thing that walked out that day. Shoulda waited.
