Went hunting today and after a great outing yesterday seeing 18 deer, I had high hopes of the right buck showing up.. Someone finally joined me hunting this land and he was successful in bagging a 3 1/2 year old 7pt...
Get this, literally 3 minutes after he shot, I heard another shot... I was like OK either he got 2 or had to do a finishing off shot. Well come to fund out a poacher shot and killed a young 8pt...
To all you poachers out there... Cross my path and your in trouble... I cant stand poachers... This property has been poached so much in its time its pathetic.. It has even come down to fist fights and poachers holding guns on the legal hunters so they can get out of there.
Im not a happy hunter...

You see any vehicles? Maybe get a license number?? I hate to hear that. They will get what is coming to them sooner than they expect. Let the TWRA know and they may be able to do something. Never know, but worth a call.

the poacher could have been the neighbor, but they definitely came off that property, so no vehicles were in the area

that sucks. we've had the same problem on my grandpa's farm. there is a gravel road that overlooks a big field that the deer use at night. used to have a ton of problems with spotlighting. finally we got tree to grow along the road. haven't been much of a problem in the last 5 years now. sorry to hear that psycho. congrats to your buddy, how big was the 7pt.
