Before Savage introduced their popular Accu-trigger, they had sold a Scout rifle, the Model 10 CFM Scout. Well I noticed Savage has brought it back out for 2007. Pillar bedded synthetic stock, free floated button rifled 20" barrel, scout scope mount, adjustable aperture sights, removable magazine, and the popular accu-trigger. Now if someone would only make a ten round magazine for this! Don

I have tried one indoors just looking through the scope. I thought it was rather nice to be able to keep both eyes open and see through the scope also. I will give the final judgement if I ever shoot one.

I don't believe that YOU of all people, would give us all that information, without stating what Caliber that is. ;D Jer, This is the only mention Savage makes of the rifle: Model 10 FCM reintroduced as 10 FCM Scout It's listed as new for 2007, but their online catalog hasn't been updated yet for this year. If this rifle is chambered for the same calibers as the 10 FCM it should be available in, .243, 7mm-08, .308, .270WSM, and .300WSM. Weighing a mere 6.25lbs., I'll bet it's a handful in the .300WSM. Do ya think that it will be as good as the old ones ? I think they'll be the same rifle with addition of an accu-trigger. Probably $400-$450 range. The last one I saw for sale was three years ago. Somehow they came across one still new in the box. I had a Savage Model 12FV a .223 heavy barrel varmint rifle in my hands when I spotted it and ended up taking the Model 12, but it was a real toss up for me. The deciding factor was the price. The Model 12 was a steal at $350 new. Don
