I don't hunt but I love to shoot. I have 2 rifles and a shotgun that I love. The first is my love, a Winchester Model 94 30 w.c.f. made in 1896 serial #54505. It has a full octagon barrel and flip up Lyman peep sight. The second one is a Marlin lever action Model 39A Golden Eagle .22 made in 1964 with a scope. My wife calls it hers be we know better and my shotgun is a Winchester Model 20 single shot 410 made in the 20's. I'm not sure when it was made. I do baby them but I shoot them like you should.

Hey Doc!!!
The moniker is correct. There is a 45/70. On is a Marlin 1895SS. My favorite hunting rifle. The other is an 1884 Trapdoor that I do buffalo shoots with. Never took that one hunting. Next in line would be the FAL. Lots of fun, not much on accuracy...at least for hunting purposes.
Then we get into handguns: .357 mags and 45 ACP's pretty much rule my roost. Revolvers for the 357 and a Glock 36 for the 45.

My favorite, that I own, is the 7mm STW, or Shooting Times Westerner. I like it's flat, long range effort and is extremely accurate at 200 yards, posting a remarkable .525" 3-shot group.
Other favorites that receive votes from me are the .30-06 Sprfld, 7mm-08 Rem, and .243 Win.
Predator calibers that I own include .17 HM2, .22-250 Rem and the .220 Swift (also use the .243 Win).

I like all my guns!!!! my favorite is a custom 25-06. interarms action, ackley barrell, custom stock, 4.5-14 leupold. also shoot .22-250, .243, .270, 7mm-08, .300 weatherby, .50 cal percussion, .50 cal flint, 7mm-08 pistol, .22lr 2-12GA shotguns, mathews bow. Spend time with them all and hunt with them all. my wife has a pillow that is embroidered that says...WhenI die...... Bury me in the woods......so my husbnd will hunt for me!!! I think that tells the story pretty good.

I have two rifles. I have a Heckler and Koch HK91 with a claw mount and Hensodlt scope. This was my hunting rifles for the longest. Just in the last few months, I got an ok deal on a Remington 760 in 30/06. I haven't checked the boresite on the scope yet but plan on using it next year. I will post my other toys in the right topics.

Give us a report on the H&K and post a few pics if you have them. Would like to see that. I can do an internet search, but looking at a members firearm is more fulfilling. WOuldnt mind a report on the 760 either.

My favorite is a 1970 commemoritive Marlin 30-30. In large open areas I use a 300 Winchester Magnum. Homemade, so to speak, mounted on a Enfield receiver. Currently set up for up to 400 yds. Plan to put a tuner/muzzle break on it and reload my own ammo and work with it this summer. Anticipating at least 800 yrd capability with it. Maybe should go in another thread but I occasionally climb down in the briar patches with my 9mm Glock. Years ago hunted with a .44 mag super black hawk. Lost it to the first bride though, hope to replace it one day. Also have hunted with a 300 Wthby Mag. Really liked it too but it was my Dad's and had to release it.

I am going to give it a shot. Darn dial-up! The HK is on top with the 760 30/06. The next pic is my shotgun, muzzleloader and HK USP45. The next pic is my ancient bow and my new crossbow. I fixed it for you. I put them in the right order.
